The intent of this blog is to explore what kind of
situations and roles did/do women occupy on the Western music scene.
In a historical review, I will focus on figures that
have challenged the stereotypes of women. I will then discuss the position of
women as conductors from the past century to our days.
As a classical musician, this study was encouraged by
many recent debates on the place of women in the musical field.
